I got to go with the K-3rd grade classes on a field trip to Carlsbad. We went to the Living Desert Zoo and then went to the Carlsbad park for a picnic. This picture is of all of the kids and the parents/teachers that were there. Yes... this is K-3rd. Remember, SMALL school!While we were at the zoo, I found out that Shaleea has a HUGE fear of bears! The bear was not in its cage area and I told her that the bear "was gone". Well to her I think that meant, "out of its cage". We went walking around a corner and there was an 8 foot tall wooden bear standing on its hind legs. Shaleea completely freaked out and it took quite some time to get her calmed down and explain that it was not real.
